      For Teachers

      • To support users in navigating the student management dashboard we have changed the layout and some functionality of the students page for teachers.

        • To simplify the process for distributing class logins, we have removed the additional views for accessing class logins. Now, to distribute login information, simply click download class logins.

        • Teachers can still digitally display individual QR codes by clicking view student QR code next to the student’s name.

        • To edit or remove a student record, check the box next to the student(s) and click on the action at the top of the list. This enables teachers to make quick updates to their class.

        • Lastly, to align with other pages on Life Skills GO, teachers now access a student’s profile by clicking on their name. Teachers can search for a student in their class using the search bar above. 

      • We have added the ability for teachers to change the student’s profile image from their dashboard giving teachers the flexibility to provide students with a unique profile image that represents them during the check-in. Simply click on the profile picture against the student to update the image.

      For School Admin

      • To support school administrators in distributing login information to each class, we have updated the download for the View QR Codes’ process which will now export a zip file that contains separated class details.

      • We have made some updates to the lessons to improve the loading speed and responsiveness of the lesson and reporting pages.

      For Teachers

      • New Training Modules for Teachers to support staff in learning how to use Life Skills GO in their classrooms
      • The Prepare for Learning button on the dashboard will now instantly load a recommended activity for your classroom, without the need for teachers to select from our range of emotions.

      • We have modified our filter system to only display applied filters at the top of the page. All other filters can still be accessed by clicking Change filters at the top of the dashboard

      For School Admin

      • A new training module for school administrators to support staff in learning how to use the administrative features of Life Skills GO
      •  The Classes page of the school admin dashboard has been modified to allow the assignment of teachers to classes. This removes the need to view a class before adding co-teachers. We have also added the ability to create a new class and assign staff and students from this area as well.

      Life Skills GO Version 2023.07.01 (August 25th 2023)

      For Teachers

      • We have combined the Check-in page and the Dashboard, improving the visibility and access to student data. The new cards that now appear on the dashboard are the Class Responses table and Student Responses Graph.

      • Teachers will now see a notification at the top of their dashboard when new journal entries are available for review. Teachers can then mark the entries as reviewed to dismiss the notification or download the entries if needed. Please note that only journal entries submitted after 25th of August will appear in the notification. For all other entries, teachers will find these in the activity feed and individual student profiles.

        • Teachers can now filter the Class Check-in Summary by different periods of time to better identify patterns or changes in the emotions of their students throughout a day, week, month or year. Educators can break down the data: hourly, by lesson sessions (before 9, 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, after 3), daily, weekly and monthly.

        • To support users in accessing our help guides and support documentation we have made minor changes to our help menu: 

          • The ? Icon that represented the help menu has now been updated to display as “? Help” so that it is clear where users can find platform support.
          • Our Implementation Guide is now included in the help menu for ease of access

          • The Quick Start Video has been separated into a playlist of shorter help guides so that educators are able skip to the part most relevant to their current needs.

        For School Admin

        • School Administrators can now filter the School Check-in Summary by different periods of time to better identify patterns or changes in the emotions of their students throughout a day, week, month or year. Educators can break down the data: hourly, by lesson sessions (before 9, 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, after 3), daily, weekly and monthly.
        • We have updated the Whole School Upload with instructions to make the setup process as seamless as possible.

        For Teachers

        • Updated Check-in settings, providing clearer indication of how these settings will affect your class check-in
        • The check-in settings have been added to the dashboard so that teachers are able to customise how students complete check-ins without needing to go searching for them.
        • The Download Class Logins now exports a PDF that contains up to 6 QR / usernames and passwords per page so that teachers can distribute login credentials to their class in an environmentally conscious manner. This has replaced the previous download that would export individual login cards for students at one per page.
          • This download also includes login instructions for your students that you can print out or distribute on your LMS so that they can easily access Life Skills GO on individual devices.
        • Journal entries in the Activity Feed now appear highlighted in Orange to make it easier for teachers to identify when they are scrolling through the feed. 

        For School Admin

        • New Student Check-in Export for Admin, providing administrators with greater visibility over every student check-in 

        Platform Updates

        • Life Skills GO / Sentral Integration on iOS devices We have solved an issue where users were unable to access the integration on Safari browser, iPads and iPhones.
        • Removed the ID Code and Validate Class Check-in setting in order to rework this feature for additional functionality

        For Teachers

          Updated ‘Activity Feed’ for greater visibility

          We have updated the ‘Check-in Feed’ to the ‘Activity Feed’ on the Life Skills Go teacher dashboard. To increase visibility over student activities in Life Skills GO this feed includes all check-ins done by the class as well as any journal responses submitted by your students. These activities appear in order of submission with the latest activity appearing first, allowing teachers to compare check-ins and journal responses in the same space. 

          This feed is now filtered by date range so that teachers can look historically at student work or for specific time periods. 

          Moved the Complete / Cancel Attendance Buttons

          To better support schools on the Sentral / Life Skills GO integration, we have moved the complete and cancel attendance buttons to the top right corner of the screen. This decreases the chances of students accidentally clicking the wrong button in the middle of roll call and keeps consistency with other roll calls in Sentral.

          For Students

          New Quiet Place for Students

           We are pleased to introduce our ‘Quiet Place’, a space for students to access resources and tools that support their wellbeing. 

          This space houses both the existing Life Skills GO journal and video brain breaks to help regulate emotions outside of the emotion check-in. 

          Additional self-regulation techniques per emotion

          We have increased the number of video activities available per emotion so that students get a variety of techniques to practice self-regulation. 

          When a teacher selects an emotion during the prepare for learning activity or when students select an emotion during their individual check-in, they will be randomly assigned a video from a selection of exercises. This will support students learning by providing them with a range of activities to put in their personal toolkit.

          For Teachers:

          More Filters for Teachers

          The Life Skills GO dashboard and Emotion Check-in page is now able to be filtered by; date range, grade, class, emotional category, student context, emotion and pinned student data. This will enable teachers to view results based on the information they are looking to attain. 

          All filters that apply to the data within each card will appear underneath the card title for ease of use.

          New Pinned Student Card for Teachers

          The new Pinned Student card enables teachers to maintain visibility over students that may need additional support based off their check-in responses. 

          The pinned student card allows teachers to manually pin identified students to their dashboard, view suggested students to pin and search for students in their class to see their data.

           

          For School Administrators

          We have included the context filter for in the executive report to provide even more visibility over student driven data

          School admin are able to see when staff last logged in to the platform to support consistent usage of the platform

           

          Bug Fixes

          Some of our teachers were reporting that the foundation for Emotion Literacy check-in appeared too large for the screen they were using. This meant that students had to scroll to view additional emotions. We have fixed the scale of the check-in so that all emotions now appear on the screen at the same time. 

          The Last login for students was not appearing correctly in the school admin section and the student profile. This has now been fixed to reflect when each student last logged in to their account.

          For Teachers

            Exporting Lesson Report
            Teachers are now able to export lesson reports for each of the lessons run with students. These exports include the question descriptions, student answers and any lesson annotations made by the teacher.

            For School Administrators

            New Filtering System
            The Life Skills GO executive report is now able to be filtered by; date range, grade, class, emotional category, emotion and pinned student data.
             
            This will enable executives, stage leaders and wellbeing coordinators to view results based on the information they are looking to attain. All applied filters will appear within each card for ease of use. 
             
            Pinned Student Feed
            The new Pinned Student Feed allows executives, stage leaders and wellbeing coordinators to maintain visibility over students that may need additional support based off their check-in responses.
            The pinned student feed allows Life Skills GO administrators to manually pin identified students to their dashboard, view suggested students to pin and search for students in their school to see their data.
             
            Bug Fixes
            The emotions in the Emotion Check-in would sometimes randomise on screen when students were selecting how they were feeling. This has been fixed so that the emotions remain in place to reduce confusion and frustration. 


            Life Skills GO Version 2023.02.01 (March 5 2023)

            • We have redesign the lesson reporting page to support teachers in reviewing and assessing classwork on Life Skills GO. 
              • View an overview of your student's understanding through the class summary

            • Fixed an issue where the lesson curriculum codes for the core units were showing AUS for all stages. Now the curriculum outcomes contained in the teaching and learning plan will depend on the state for the school.

            Life Skills GO Version 2023.01.01 (January 31 2023)

            For Teachers: 

            •  New Lesson Assignment - Life Skills GO Lesson Assignment has been improved with a whole new set of features aimed to making classroom management easier, and connecting you to the lessons and resources you need, when you need them. This includes: 
              • A new search function where teachers are able to search for units, lessons and resources by using keywords, phrases and curriculum codes.
              • Additional resources that are linked to each lesson under the preview tab so that teachers are able to extend the lesson beyond the digital activities.
              • Lesson start dates displayed as Day/Week/Term (eg. Monday, Week 3 Term 1)  to make it easier to plan out your classwork on Life Skills GO.
              • Assigning different lessons to students in the same class so that teachers are able to create individual learning plans on Life Skills GO.
            • Educators are now able to toggle between emojis and characters to represent the emotions in the check-in to help students identify how they are feeling. 
            • Learning Support has been renamed Foundation for Emotional Literacy to better describe the version of the check-in we recommend educators use when they are introducing students to the emotion check-in and emotional literacy. 

            For School Administrators

            • Improved Responsiveness of the Whole School Executive Report - Platform improvements have seen an increase in responsiveness and a decrease in load time for school executives using the executive report. This means you can get to the information you need faster and using less bandwidth!
            For Students:
            • Based on feedback from several student and teacher groups, we have changed the layout and style of the student application to reflect a more mature cohort. The new layout makes information like class work readily accessible to students. Through the top header, they can navigate to:
              • Their assigned lessons under Class Work section 
              • Do a quick Emotion Check-in
              • Create and/or view journal
              • Edit their student profile
            • Students' classwork has been segmented into 3 categories - To do, upcoming and completed, to help students identify which lesson or lessons they need to be working on. 
            The Platform:
            • We have changed our versioning system so that our end users better understand when our updates have been released. Life Skills GO will now use the Year.MinorVersion.Patch system to name our releases, so you can be confident you are running the latest features!
            • Improvements to platform responsiveness and speed to enhance the experience of all users.

            Life Skills GO Version 6.7.0 (October 7 2022)

            Release Guide

            For Teachers: 

            • Added a new doughnut chart that enables the teacher to view how many of their students are not ready to learn. By clicking on the hyperlink below, the teacher can have overview of the student responses.
            • Implemented a Check-in Feed listing the latest responses of the students in the class who have chosen an emotion that indicates they are not ready to learn.
            • The layout of the Emotion Check-in page has been redesigned to help teachers get a quick yet detailed overview of their class activity.
            • Included school term dates for Australian Schools in the date selector to choose from. 
            • To customise Life Skills GO, educators can now edit the layouts of cards on their dashboard to prioritise information important to them. 
            • The sign in with Google option has been updated to bring you the latest experience from Google. You can now sign-in to Life Skills GO with the Google One-Tap sign-in at the top right of the screen. 
            For School Administrators:
            • School Admin Dashboard has been updated to enable administrators have a detailed overview of their school activity and quickly identify which classes may need additional support. 
            • Included school term dates for Australian Schools as options in the date selector of the executive report.
            The Platform:
            • The following issues have been resolved in this release.
              • If a student was part of more than one class, their daily activity data wouldn’t appear in the second class.
              • In some instances, a student comment was appearing in the Teacher Comment section.
              • On occasion the student journal wasn’t viewable to the teacher due to a restricted height in the generated image.

            • For those that are checking in on a classroom device, we have added an optional setting to require a username or 3 digit validation code from students before they complete their check-in on a classroom device. This is to aid in ensuring students are only checking in as themselves when using the Class Check-in feature. This feature can be toggled on from the Emotion Check-in page in the Check-in Settings.

            For School Administrators:

            • The Executive Report has been updated to provide extensive visibility over school activity. Not only does the executive report include information on student check-ins, daily activity for classes and lessons completed but has also been designed so that executives can customise the layout to suit their needs.

            The Platform:

            • In an ongoing effort to provide you with a stable and secure platform, we have had to remove support for older phones, tablets and laptops.

            Bug Fixes

            We have identified and fixed a few minor software bugs in the system including:

            • Assigning students to a class occasionally did not correctly save, causing the student to “go missing”.
            • The sending of invitations or password reset emails sometimes failed due to a DNS error. This has been rectified.

            We are also aware of and working on the following:

            • Some users experience an app crash when revisiting the site after a prolonged period away
            • Some users on new MacBook computers with Apple Silicon cannot access some features.

            For Teachers:
            • Improvements to teacher reporting. Reports now load as the page is scrolled, leading to increased performance and a better user experience.
            • Notifications can now be interacted with. Clicking on a notification will now open up the full notification in the notification centre.
            • Updates to the editing of class units to ensure previous date settings are not automatically overwritten.
            For Students:
            • Attempted lessons will now appear in orange, and can be resumed to the last attempted activity.
            • Students will now be prompted to select their class when they first login.

            • Class badges. You can now receive badges through teacher led mode for your whole class. Badges can be viewed in teacher led mode, or in your Student Management Dashboard. You can also award your class with the focus area badges! Please Note: This will not give the badges to every individual student (not yet!).

            • Badges can now be awarded to students from the Reporting Dashboard
            • Your class' complete lessons will now be marked off when assigning a new unit or creating your own. If you try and create a unit with a completed lesson, you will be prompted to confirm.

            • Added Teacher Led mode reporting (now appears as Teacher Led in your lesson report). This can be used to track your class’ responses while running Life Skills GO on an Interactive Whiteboard or other classroom device.
            • Updates to the Executive Report. Your school executive will now see progress updates when you complete lessons in teacher led mode, so they have full visibility over lessons completed by your class, either individually or as a team.
            • Printable unit details. All unit details and curriculum information pop-ups now have a print button. You can download and print a PDF of the lesson and curriculum information of any Life Skills GO unit, including your own custom creations!
            For Students:
            • Simplified the weather report for Stage 1 and 2. The weather report has now been simplified for students in K-2, and 3-4 allowing a gradual introduction to more complex emotional concepts.
